

Meet Our Team
The management team at Andersen Andre Consulting Engineers, or AACE, is comprised of Professional Engineers and Senior Technical Staff that bring complementary skills and diverse backgrounds working with government agencies, engineering and architectural firms, land developers and contractors. AACE Principal Engineers Peter Andersen, P.E. and David Andre, P.E. have more than 60 years of combined experience. Co-Owner Brian Smith represents more than 30 years of field and laboratory testing experience. Together, this ownership group brings a solution-focused perspective, extensive experience and technical superiority to your engineering and construction projects.

Peter G. Andersen, P.E.
Peter Andersen has amassed more than 28 years of experience in the Geotechnical Engineering and Materials Testing field after obtaining his Bacherlor of Science degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and later his Masters of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Florida
Peter has served as Project Manager for the development of recommendations for site preparation and foundation design for projects throughout Florida and the Caribbean including numerous low- and high-rise structures, bridges, piers, buried structures, transmission towers, silos, roadways, drainage structures, off-shore mooring facilities, seawalls, retaining walls, anchoring systems, excavation bracings, underpinning measures, dams and levees and more. Aside from traditional geotechnical engineering projects, he has worked on industrial projects, power-generating facilities, State-mandated land condemnation projects on properties bordering the Everglades Stormwater Treatment Areas (STA’s), performed quarry (ore) assessment studies, wetland mitigation projects, environmental assessments, and has worked on forensic structural investigations using destructive and non-destructive testing techniques.
As a co-founder of AACE, he has created a work environment that promotes technical excellence from project inception to completion. Mr. Andersen remains intimately involved with the entire project process and provides oversight, data review and administration of all complex projects.

David P. Andre, P.E.
David Andre has over 30 years of experience in the Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Materials Testing field. He is a University of Florida graduate and has established excellent working relationships with various state and local agencies and municipalities throughout South Florida. As co-founder of AACE, David ensures that the client is always aware of the AACE’s progress on any particular project as well as any potential for savings during our firm’s involvement. This "client-first" mentality and thoughtful approach are evident through our loyal client base repeatedly retaining our services. David also manages AACE’s continuing service contracts with our public sector partners, including Martin County, St. Lucie County, Indian River County, Okeechobee County, the City of Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie County Public Schools.
David has managed numerous high-profile Geotechnical and testing projects for a myriad of clients including complex roadways and interchanges, large-tract residential developments, and municipal drainage improvements and utility installations. He has also served as an effective liaison on behalf of his clients during interactions with local and state regulatory agencies. He has also provided environmental consulting services related to contamination issues on numerous properties throughout Florida. David has extensive experience assessing soil and groundwater contamination, including for the following:

Brian K. Smith
Brian Smith has been providing construction materials testing services, both in the laboratory and in the field, for more than 30 years. He has served as field manager on hundreds of testing programs for developments of all types, including roadways, bridges, utility installations, drainage construction and multi-story developments. He is also intimately familiar with a myriad of laboratory testing procedures, including those assessing asphalt specific gravity, soil permeability, and limerock bearing ratio.
